Get revved up and help cel­e­brate 100 years of the Cot­ton

» TO cel­e­brate the cen­te­nary of the Cot­ton Mo­tor­cy­cle com­pany and the 25th an­niver­sary of the Cot­ton Mo­tor­cy­cle Club, the largest col­lec­tion of the firm’s mo­tor­cy­cles will be roar­ing up to the The Folk of Glouces­ter on Satur­day, Au­gust 10 from 11am to 4pm.

The Cot­ton fac­tory was lo­cated a few hun­dred me­tres from the venue in West­gate Street, the first Cot­ton mo­tor­cy­cle made in the city by Frank Wil­loughby Cot­ton in 1919.

Pre and post-war ex­am­ples of these suc­cess­ful ma­chines will be on show along with other re­lated items. En­try is free.

» FAM­ILY-FUN ac­tiv­i­ties and equestrian ex­cite­ment will be on of­fer at Hart­pury Sum­mer Fair on Satur­day, Au­gust 10, from 10am-4pm.

Held on the Satur­day of the NAF Five Star In­ter­na­tional Hart­pury Horse Tri­als, the an­nual fair of­fers some­thing to suit every­one, along­side an ex­cit­ing day of cross-coun­try and show jump­ing across the 360-hectare cam­pus.

A host of lo­cal busi­nesses and char­i­ties will be on hand, along with ex­hibits from the univer­sity and col­lege, as well as events and ac­tiv­i­ties to en­joy.

Park­ing is free and you will be di­rected upon ar­rival, please note this will be on grass.

En­try is £10 for adults, with un­der 16s free.

» THE Great Bri­tish Food Fes­ti­val ar­rives at We­ston­birt School on Au­gust 10-11.

The event will show­case amaz­ing food pro­duc­ers, tasty street food and bars along­side chef demon­stra­tions, and stages in­clud­ing a new bar­be­cue stage.

» TAKE your four-legged friend to the Teck­els Fun Dog Show.

The event will be held this Sun­day, Au­gust 11 at Saul Junc­tion Ma­rina, Framp­ton-on-sev­ern.

The event runs from 10am-3pm with the dog show start­ing at 11.30am.
