Just the ticket – work starts on new cinema site in Regent Arcade
WORK has begun on building a boutique cinema in Regent Arcade.
Bosses at the Cheltenham town centre shopping centre said brand new hoardings had been put up inside the centre because of the latest construction work there.
The multi-million pound cinema will occupy a 22,000sq ft site at the part of the arcade that used to be host British Home Stores.
The attraction, which is due to open next year, will have four screens and a VIP director’s lounge for private screenings in addition to a luxury bar and lounge area.
There are also plans for a rooftop bar and new restaurants at the southern end of the arcade in a development expected to cost £3million.
Arcade manager, Scott Lahive, said: “It’s great to have good news to talk about. “We’re ready to go now and can’t wait to give the town such a special cinema environment.”
