Get revved up and help celebrate 100 years of the Cotton

» TO celebrate the centenary of the Cotton Motorcycle company and the 25th anniversar­y of the Cotton Motorcycle Club, the largest collection of the firm’s motorcycle­s will be roaring up to the The Folk of Gloucester on Saturday, August 10 from 11am to 4pm.

The Cotton factory was located a few hundred metres from the venue in Westgate Street, the first Cotton motorcycle made in the city by Frank Willoughby Cotton in 1919.

Pre and post-war examples of these successful machines will be on show along with other related items. Entry is free.

» FAMILY-FUN activities and equestrian excitement will be on offer at Hartpury Summer Fair on Saturday, August 10, from 10am-4pm.

Held on the Saturday of the NAF Five Star Internatio­nal Hartpury Horse Trials, the annual fair offers something to suit everyone, alongside an exciting day of cross-country and show jumping across the 360-hectare campus.

A host of local businesses and charities will be on hand, along with exhibits from the university and college, as well as events and activities to enjoy.

Parking is free and you will be directed upon arrival, please note this will be on grass.

Entry is £10 for adults, with under 16s free.

» THE Great British Food Festival arrives at Westonbirt School on August 10-11.

The event will showcase amazing food producers, tasty street food and bars alongside chef demonstrat­ions, and stages including a new barbecue stage.

» TAKE your four-legged friend to the Teckels Fun Dog Show.

The event will be held this Sunday, August 11 at Saul Junction Marina, Frampton-on-severn.

The event runs from 10am-3pm with the dog show starting at 11.30am.
