» There are 10 famous Tom Denny windows installed in our beautiful Church St Christophe­r’s in Warden Hill, now three have also been installed in Gloucester Cathedral to commemorat­e the life and works of Composer Gerald Finzi.

» Our community film show is at the URC Centre in Salisbury Avenue on Saturday, September 7, at 2.30pm. Free entry, ring along a friend, refreshmen­ts available.

» The Greatfield pub is having a beach party on August 24 with fun and games from 8.30pm.

Also at The Greatfield on Saturday, September 28 there is a Macmillan Coffee and Craft morning from 11.30am.

» Cheltenham residents are being asked for their views on recycling and how they use the household recycling centre in a brand new survey which runs until September 13.

Enter the survey online at cheltenham.gov.uk/waste-recyclingc­onsultatio­n or pick up paper copy at the Municipal Offices from Monday, July 29.

» On Mondays in August at the Bacon Theatre at 2.30pm there will be a showing of classic films.

Tickets cost £9 or £8 concession.

» There will be a street party for residents on Saturday, August 31 in Oxford Way, Warden Hill from 2-5pm (in the URC Church Hall, Salisbury Avenue).

Food, games, face painting, plant swap stall, and more. Please come along and meet your neighbours. Salisbury Avenue on August 22 from 10am-3pm.

» The Brizen Young People’s Centre is available to hire at £14 per hour.

» The annual gardening show will be held in the large hall at St Christophe­r’s Church, Lincoln Avenue, on Saturday, August 17

The show opens at 2pm and the entry fee is £1.

» September 14 is Heritage Open Day when you can come along to St Christophe­r’s Church and view the splendid Tom Denny Windows. The event will run from 2-5pm.
