New restaurant will steak a claim for trade in autumn opening
» THE Harvester restaurant in The Brewery Quarter has now closed in preparation for its transformation into a steakhouse.
Son of Steak will open in the autumn between rival restaurants Frankie and Benny’s and Babel and opposite what will be a redeveloped 4DX Cineworld cinema.
The town’s other Harvester in Hatherley Lane, off the Arle Court roundabout and next to KFC and Premier Inn, will remain open.
A message on the restaurant’s website says: “This restaurant is now closed.
“We have now closed our doors as a Harvester restaurant to make way for something new & exciting.”
Harvester, and Son of Steak, are both part of the Mitchells & Butlers group of restaurants.
A Son of Steak spokesperson said: “We’re very excited to be bringing something new to Cheltenham’s dining out scene and are sure Son of Steak will go down a hit with locals.
“By focussing on expertly cooked fast-casual steak dishes, along with juicy burgers, delicious chicken, vegan and vegetarian options, Son of Steak is going to be a great place for people to treat themselves, without the fuss.
“We expect Son of Steak to open in the autumn.”
