Eisa nets first goal for Posh in Ip­swich draw

MO Eisa net­ted his first goal since leav­ing Chel­tenham Town as Peter­bor­ough United drew 2-2 at home with Ip­swich Town in League One.

The 25-year-old striker joined Peter­bor­ough from Bris­tol City this sum­mer af­ter one sea­son at Ash­ton Gate, which saw him re­stricted to five sub­sti­tute ap­pear­ances in the Cham­pi­onship.

But he is off the mark for Posh in his fourth ap­pear­ance, put­ting them 2-1 up in the 62nd minute at Lon­don Road be­fore Luke Cham­bers’ in­jury time ef­fort res­cued a point for Ip­swich.

Eisa scored 23 goals in 45 League Two ap­pear­ances for Chel­tenham in the 2017/18 cam­paign, earn­ing a £1.5mil­lion move to Bris­tol City.

He joined the Robins from non-league Green­wich Bor­ough in July 2017.

If he is a suc­cess at Peter­bor­ough, Chel­tenham will re­ceive some cash as part of their sell-on clause.

Younger brother Abo has just left Shrews­bury Town to join Scun­thorpe United and he made his de­but in their 2-2 home draw with Craw­ley Town on Satur­day.
