French test un­der the lights to start cam­paign

» THE first game of the 2019-20 Heineken Cham­pi­ons Cup will take place un­der the Fri­day night lights at King­sholm with Glouces­ter fac­ing French cham­pi­ons Toulouse.

Glouceste will play in the com­pe­ti­tion’s cur­tain raiser with a mouth-wa­ter­ing opener on Fri­day, Novem­ber 15.

The draw was made back in June with the Cherry and Whites placed in the Pool Five with Toulouse, Con­nacht and Mont­pel­lier.

But it has now been re­vealed when each of those games will take place so fans can start mak­ing their travel plans and mark­ing days in the di­ary.

Glouces­ter’s first over­seas trip is to France as they visit Mont­pel­lier on Sun­day, Novem­ber 24.

They will face Con­nacht in backto-back fix­tures with the home game on Sun­day, De­cem­ber 8 and six days later in Gal­way.

Glouces­ter’s home game against Mont­pel­lier is on Satur­day, Jan­uary 11, 2020, and they com­plete their pool fix­tures with an away game against Toulouse on Sun­day, Jan­uary 19.
