Coetzer heads north for Kingsholm return
» SOUTH African youngster Dom Coetzer has re-signed for Gloucester.
The 21-year-old was among five academy players to leave the club at the end of last season and he went back to South Africa over the summer. However, he has rejoined the squad for training and wrote on Instagram: “Good being back.” Coetzer first joined Gloucester from the Stormers’ Academy in 2018 and he made four appearances, scoring on his Premiership debut against Sale on the final day of the season.
He was also a regular in the Premiership Rugby Shield competition.
Coetzer can play at fly-half, inside centre or full-back and will bolster Gloucester’s squad ahead of the new season starting next month with the Premiership Rugby Cup when youngsters are traditionally given a chance.
