Holmleigh Park High School
PATRICK Farmbrough was appointed as the first headteacher at Holmleigh Park High School, following the school’s decision to join the Greenshaw Learning Trust.
Mr Farmbrough was formerly vice principal at Westminster Academy in London, where he was part of the team who took the school from inadequate to outstanding, and his ambition is for Holmleigh Park to do the same.
According to Mr Farmbrough, this comes down to getting the basics right. He said: “We ask everyone at Holmleigh Park to do three things: work hard, be kind, and take responsibility.
“We set high standards for the students. We expect them to work as hard as they can in every lesson and to behave impeccably, so that all students can enjoy the best possible chance to succeed.
“It can be tough at first – but once students learn to take responsibility for their actions, they realise that they can focus on enjoying learning without any distractions.”
