A truly all-round ed­u­ca­tion

THERE are 430 boys and girls aged three to 13 at Beaudesert Park School, Minch­in­hamp­ton, an ever-pop­u­lar in­de­pen­dent school, and all liv­ing within 20 miles.

Flexi-board­ing (one to three nights per week) in the cosy board­ing rooms is su­per pop­u­lar among the older chil­dren.

» A re­fresh­ing ‘all-round’ ap­proach From nurs­ery up­wards, Beaudesert’s fo­cus is on help­ing ev­ery child thor­oughly en­joy a truly “all­round” ed­u­ca­tion, which in­cludes heaps of op­por­tu­ni­ties to ex­per­i­ment and ex­cel in the arts, sport and be­yond. There’s no se­lec­tion process, and no hot-house pres­sure, yet aca­demic re­sults are cer­tainly im­pres­sive.

At 13 the chil­dren move on to a broad range of sec­ondary and se­nior schools. This year they did so with a bumper crop of more than 20 schol­ar­ships be­tween them. » What do par­ents say?

Par­ents speak of great teach­ing, stand­out pas­toral care and a happy, con­fi­dence-build­ing school. Fan­tas­tic fa­cil­i­ties in­clude three science labs, a the­atre­spec per­form­ing arts cen­tre, 15 acres of sports grounds, two swim­ming pools, and two For­est Schools.

The Good Schools Guide 2019 said: “Hap­pi­ness isn’t a sub­ject to be taught; it should be the found­ing prin­ci­ple of any school – it cer­tainly is at Beaudesert.”
