Gloucestershire Echo - - OPEN HOUSE -

SHE was living here when Son of A Preacher Man was released, and now fans of 60s icon Dusty Springfield can invest in a piece of her musical history with the sale of her former home in Aubrey Walk, Holland Park.

At least if they’ve got £14m to spare…

The legendary singer and music producer, below, lived there in London between 1968 and 1972 – a fact commemorated outside the impressive Art Deco home with a Blue Plaque.

An impressive property on a hill close to Holland Park and Notting Hill Gate, it was created by joining two neighbouring houses together.

It’s set across five floors with the lower ground floor featuring a 35ft swimming pool, separate gym, sauna and Jacuzzi, as well as a bar.

Sliding glass floor-toceiling doors go right across the ground floor living area opening out onto the garden, making it perfect for entertaining friends in this superfashionable part of the city.

There are five reception rooms, seven bedrooms and seven bathrooms, but the highlight has got to be its penthouse. The third and top floor has its own bedroom, bathroom and reception room and, best of all, a fantastic terrace with panoramic views of the city.
