Diverse opportunities allow students to thrive

-

MALVERN St James Girls’ School (MSJ) is a leading Independent Day and Boarding School for Girls aged 4-18.

Located just across the Gloucestershire border in Malvern, Worcestershire, the School offers exceptional academic, sport, music, drama and equestrian provision.

MSJ minibuses operate with multiple collection points around Gloucestershire and the surrounding area.

MSJ is recognised as one of the UK’S leading independent schools, achieving exceptional grades in A Levels and GCSES and superb value-added attainment.

The School encourages girls to be ambitious and to follow their passions. Intellectual curiosity, critical thinking, creativity, considered risk-taking and collaboration are all encouraged, and universities and employers value these attributes.

The enrichment programme is varied with something for everyone from clubs for budding engineers and scientists, extra-curricular languages, drama, music, Leiths, photography, sport of every kind, Young Enterprise, debating and Model United Nations to name a few.

MSJ offers an all-though education in a friendly home from home environment; this allows the School to build long term relationships with girls both academically and pastorally.

It allows students to thrive in a familiar environment where they have established friendships groups and routines whilst also encouraging them to seek challenges outside of their comfort zone to gain confidence as independent thinkers and future leaders. The School’s pastoral care is first-class and at the heart of the School community.

MSJ Prep is in the same building as the Senior School. This means the younger girls benefit from the specialist facilities Seniors have access to such as science labs, sport and art facilities. The specialist subject teachers from the Senior School also teach in Prep and support after School clubs.

For your convenience, wraparound care is offered, and girls can be looked after in School before morning registration and following the end of the School day.

With roughly equal numbers of day girls and boarders, the School can offer the best of both worlds and a very flexible boarding programme.

We recognise modern families often lead busy lives and we aim to be as flexible as possible to support you and your daughter. Full, weekly and flexi (one, two or three nights a week) boarding options are offered.

“There is something for everyone at Malvern St James. Intellectual, sporty, creative, scientific, musical, dramatic, a combination of these things: every girl is different, and here every girl will find her spark.”
