Our cafes will be staying open throughout the winter months

-

AS this unprecedented year moves steadily towards its end, it’s clear this coming winter is going to be one like no other we’ve lived through before.

As more areas across the country are placed into tighter restrictions, normal life seems so far away.

It’s the simplest things that we hold close that bring comfort and reassurance and help to ease the impact and stress of living through a pandemic.

Here at The Cheltenham Trust we understand just how important social interaction is, now more than ever, and the impact it has on improving our health and wellbeing.

With so much of normal life restricted, catching up with a friend over a cup of tea, meeting family for a weekend brunch, chatting with colleagues over a coffee have become simple pleasures that now mean so much.

Every day our outdoor cafes at the Heritage Café at Pittville Pump Room and the Garden Bar Marquee in Imperial Gardens provide that lifeline.

Since the cafes opened in June, thousands of people have visited to socialise in locations where they feel safe and comfortable.

The Trust understands how important our cafes are to our customers, which is why both the Heritage Café and the Garden Bar Marquee will stay open throughout the winter.

Work is underway to install weatherproofing and heaters at the Heritage Café so visitors will be able to enjoy the café whatever the weather.

Additional covered seating is being provided at the Garden Bar Marquee and the spirit of Christmas, which is only eight weeks away, will be felt and seen in both the cafes to lift our spirits in the darker months.

As the colder weather and shorter days draw in and the pandemic continues to bite, those welcoming cups of coffee and chats over homemade and seasonal cakes and lunches will continue to keep us all going and remind us that there is positive times as we live through this exceptional year in history.
