BAFTA nominations for Daisy May and Charlie
DAISY May Cooper is up for three BAFTAS for This Country.
The Cirencester based celeb, who stars as Kerry Mucklowe the cousin of Kurtis played by real-life brother Charlie Cooper, posted on Instagram saying that she was ‘flattered.’
In the post, she shared a picture of all the fellow women she was up against in the ‘Female Performance in a Comedy Programme’ category saying she ‘couldn’t believe’ it.
“Cannot believe the bafta nominations,” she wrote. “So bloody flattered to be up with all these talented kickass Queens. I really hope the ceremony goes ahead so we can all get p ***** and minesweep drinks off the Dragon’s Den lot.”
If Daisy wins the award this year it won’t be her first time. The mum-oftwo won in 2018 after the first series of This Country was released.
It’s not just Daisy who’s up for an award, brother Charlie is also in the race for Male Performance in a Comedy Programme.
Together the talented brother and sister duo are also nominated for Best Scripted Comedy and Best Writer: Comedy.
On a pure winning streak, last month the Cotswold queen announced that she would be releasing her first memoir “Don’t Laugh, It Will Only Encourage Her” in hardback on October 28, 2021.
It is available for pre-order now and retails at £16.99 from Waterstones.
