Club set to restart classes again at GL1

-

» AFTER 14 long months, the Cheltenham School of Gymnastics are now able to return to some of its classes at GL1 Leisure Centre Gloucester.

As of Tuesday (May 18), recreation classes for school age children are due to start again.

Its been a long hard fight to hold on with no opportunity of grants but, with the help of coaches, volunteers and parents, the club are now finally able to start back with Tuesday recreation classes.

Coaches Martin and Kerwen Collett hope that it will not be too long before their Wednesday and Saturday recreation classes are able to return as well.

“We are waiting for GL1 to release their staff from furlough and open the Centre for more hours as well as waiting for the government to up date the rules and allow more children into GL1’S fantastic purpose built Gymnastic facility,” said Martin.

Classes started in Bournside Sports Centre, Cheltenham, on Fridays and Tewkesbury Sports Centre on Wednesdays last month. They have proved so popular that the club are now offering more classes to start at Bournside in June on a Saturday morning including their popular pre- school gymnastics for children aged three and four.

If you think that your child would like the opportunity of Olympic style gymnastics using Asymmetric Bars, High Balance Beam, Vaults, Mini Trampolines and Gymnastic floor work , they would be pleased to hear from you.

Kerwen and Martin, who run The Cheltenham School of Gymnastics and The Gym Centre, have more than 35 years experience in early years education through the sport
