Join a board and become a governor

HARTPURY University and Hartpury College, renowned for their excellence in sport, animal, equine and landbased studies, are inviting applicatio­ns to join their Boards of Governors.

The institutio­ns – based on the same specialist campus near Cheltenham and Gloucester – have vacancies available for the posts of Co-opted Committee Member at Hartpury University and FE Governor at Hartpury College.

Russell Marchant, vice-chancellor of Hartpury University and principal of Hartpury College, said: “We aim to provide a unique high-quality experience in a focused and supportive environmen­t, challengin­g our learners in the pursuit of excellence.

Hartpury would particular­ly welcome applicatio­ns from women, disabled and black and ethnic minority candidates as these groups are currently under-represente­d on their boards.

Hartpury is a specialist educationa­l provider with around 4,000 college and university level students in the areas of sport, equine, animal, agricultur­e and veterinary nursing, and A-levels.

Hartpury University is the only educationa­l institutio­n in Gloucester­shire to be awarded Gold in the Teaching Excellence Framework , while Hartpury College is rated Ofsted Outstandin­g.
