Grab a slice of the fun – pizzeria opens new branch

-

ONE of the most popular pizzerias in Gloucestershire has opened its fourth county location just days before Christmas.

So if you don’t fancy cooking this holiday season then why don’t you place an order for your favourite ‘Fat Toni’s’ pizza?

Resident Charlotte Ridgewell posted on Facebook a picture of the unit in the new parade of shops along Gotherington Road bearing the Fat Toni’s logo and motto ‘History in the Baking’ on its otherwise obscured door and windows.

Charlotte added the words: “For those who were asking if the rumours were true...”

And now, Fat Toni’s Pizzeria has revealed the news itself. It wrote on Facebook: “We can finally say it - Bishops Cleeve is now OPEN!

“To order, please click here or call 01242 675966 – we are only offering collections throughout our soft launch until January. Our address is: Unit C5, Homelands, Bishops Cleeve, GL52 8PX. We hope to see you all soon!”

Darren Orsi, co-founder of the chain, which has expanded from its origins in Stroud to Quedgeley, Cheltenham and now Bishop’s Cleeve, said: “We’ll be having a soft opening on Monday (December 20), and for the rest of the month it’ll be collection only from Bishop’s Cleeve.

“Deliveries will be available from the New Year. The website will be up and running so that people will be able to order from Bishop’s Cleeve for collection from Monday. We’re doing that now.”

It is understood the new branch is opened under a franchise arrangement.

Mr Orsi said there might also be good news about the Cheltenham branch’s sit-down restaurant.

He said: “It’s been closed and we were hoping to open it up again this December, but we’ve had to pause that at the last minute because of the latest announcement. We’ll be looking to see what happens.”
