Appeal after officers called to woman’s aid
» POLICE are appealing for information after a “distressed” woman was found in Cheltenham on Saturday.
The woman was in need of assistance when police were called to the Honeybourne Line at around 5am.
While she was found to be safe, police said she was in a state of distress. Investigations have now been launched to try to establish what happened.
The full statement from Gloucestershire Constabulary said: “Police were called shortly after 5am to the Honeybourne Line as a woman aged in her 40s required assistance. Officers attended and she is safe. However, CCTV and other inquiries are ongoing to establish what happened.
“Investigating officers are now appealing for help from the public, and police are asking for anyone who may have seen the woman, or anyone who was with her either last night [August 5] or this morning [August 6], to come forward.”
