Staff went above and beyond call of duty

-

✒ I HAVE recently had urgent appointments at both Cheltenham General and Gloucestershire Royal hospitals for endoscopy bowel and cancer biopsies, with CT and MRI scans to follow within the next week.

After each appointment, I receive a text message requesting me to ‘click on the link and give my feedback.’

I believe this is done with a smartphone which, at 77 years old, I do not possess!

Having read the letter from Fiona Wild (‘Surgery results good to hear for patients,’ August 11), I wish it to be known, whatever the outcome, that I have been treated at both hospitals by very dedicated and empathetic GPS, doctors, radiographers, nurses, porters, cleaners and clerical admin staff.

The ginger nut biscuits supplied in the tearooms are now my favourites.

Thank you to all NHS staff. Thank you all for going above and beyond the call of duty, with a personal thanks to Rowan and Jacob for your 999 assistance on August 12.
