Redevelopment sees post office closed

A COTSWOLD Post Office has closed for “major building work”.

Bibury Post Office has been temporarily shut as the site is redeveloped.

The branch on The Street closed on Friday, August 12 and work is now underway to incorporate it into the tea room next door.

The finished development will offer a tea room, gift shop, delicatessen and Post Office.

The work is planned to last approximately three months. It is hoped the branch will reopen in November, but a firm date has not yet been revealed.

Scott Lacey, Post Office network provision lead, said: “We apologise for any inconvenience caused to our customers during the work.

“The safety of our customers is of paramount, therefore, to allow for the building work to take place, it will be necessary for the service to close temporarily.”
