CHELTENHAM Town forward Callum Ebanks has joined National League club Eastleigh on loan until January.

The 19-year-old made his debut as a half-time substitute in the Spitfires’ 1-0 win at York on Saturday.

Ebanks went on from the bench in the Robins’ opening two league games this season, against Peterborough United and Barnsley, making the first two EFL appearances of his career.

He also featured during the second half of the 7-0 EFL Cup first round defeat by Exeter City.

Ebanks’ first team debut came against Norwich City in the EFL Trophy in November 2020. He signed a threeyear professional contract in September 2020 after impressing for the Under-18s.

He has appeared on loan for Worcester City, Tuffley Rovers, Evesham United and Bromsgrove Sporting.

Ebanks, who is from West Bromwich, did not start playing football until the age of 12, but since joining Oldburybased Sunday side Legion Lions he has made rapid progress, earning trials at Walsall and Birmingham City before signing for Cheltenham.

Cheltenham have already loaned out goalkeeper Max Harris to Westonsuper-mare and forward Zac Guinan to Cirencester Town.
