Jamie gets Service off to a winning start

NEWLY-PROMOTED Cheltenham Civil Service started County League life with a win, Jamie Lewis securing a 1-0 success at Hardwicke.

Gala Wilton made it two wins from two with a 3-0 success at Patchway Town.

An own goal, Alex Gayner and Dan Gayner netted for Gala as they followed up their opening 4-2 win over Cribbs Reserves.

Sharpness opened their season with a 4-2 win over Quedgeley Wanderers, thanks to goals from Jake Evans, Will Lacey, Alex Higgs and Dan Turner. Oliver Curtis netted both Quedgeley goals.

Liam Thomas’s penalty was a consolatio­n for Broadwell Amateurs as they lost 3-1 at Cribbs Reserves.

Frampton United had goals from Dom Brown and Fin Blythe to thank as they took a point from a 2-2 draw at reigning champions Wick.
