Film crew back on the night shift with police

-

CHANNEL 5’s Police: Night Shift 999 is set to return for a second series.

Gloucestershire Police will be in the spotlight once again in the new series, with film crews having already begun to follow their officers as they work.

Gloucestershire Police took to Twitter last week to confirm that Channel 5 had been doing some filming with the police ahead of a second series of the show.

The first series saw six episodes focusing solely on Gloucestershire Police.

It featured officers, staff and police dogs from Gloucester and Cheltenham Local Policing Teams.

Confirming the news on Twitter, Gloucestershire Police tweeted: “We have had Channel 5 with us for the last two nights, for Policing After Dark... stand by for series two covering Gloucestershire.”

The series will give viewers an in-depth look into frontline policing after dark. The first series featured a wide range of crimes from disorder to drink driving.

It isn’t yet known when the new series will air on Channel 5.
