Final chance to see latest show by circus

-

THE 2022 UK tour of Gifford Circus’ ¡Carpa! is coming to an end in Gloucestershire.

The magical show has been on tour across the country over the summer but is set to conclude in Stroud on October 2.

The final shows are scheduled to be held at Stratton Meadows in Cirencester from September 8 - 19.

Then finally at Fennells Farm, Stroud from September 22 to October 2.

Gifford Circus was established in 2000 by Nell and Toti Gifford.

The word ¡Carpa! originates from the Spanish word ‘tent’ and refers to a removable canvas roofed structure used for a travelling theatre, much like a circus. The show combines dance, comedy, horses and live music in a beautiful white tent surrounded by vintage-style burgundy showman’s wagons.

Along with Tweedy the Clown, his fellow clown Adriana Duch joined the show. Performances included segments from juggler Gordon Marquez, vaulting and pas de deux act the Donnert Family, trapeze artiste Anna Rastova, aerial duo Isabella and Daniela Munoz Landestoy as well as live music from the Giffords Circus band.

The show was written and directed by Cal Mccrystal for the eleventh year.
