NCTR triathletes take on Water Park challenge

A DOZEN members from North Cotswold Tri & Run competed in the team triathlon relay at Lake 62 in the Cotswold Water Park.

They had three teams competing and the format was for teams of four where each member completes a super sprint triathlon (300m swim, 8km bike and 1.5km run in this case) before handing over to their next team mate to do their leg.

The combined total time for all four team members is used.

First in was Ben Twells, Terry Cassidy, Tom Williams and Simon Finley. Their time was 2:06:42 which saw them place 18th overall. and next was Bart Finley, Giles Hyland and two junior triathletes Sophie Finley and Lucy Hyland in a time of 2:12:20, placing 27th.

Not far behind were Jon Francis, Helen Holden, Chris Bull and Will Banks. Their time of 2:17:00 put them 38th.

A special mention goes to Jon Francis for putting one of the teams together, and also to juniors Sophie and Lucy.
