Saracens snatch a last-minute win at Bourton
BOURTON Rovers suffered a heartbreaking last-minute Hellenic League Division One loss as they were beaten 2-1 by Cheltenham Saracens on Saturday.
Danny Way scored a 90th minute penalty to make it 1-1 before Rovers conceded almost straight from kick off, James Barnes-wills and Paul Holmes scoring for Saracens.
On Tuesday, Saracens led 1-0 at Shortwood United, before they ended up going down 3-1. Luke Soule equalised before Jake Rhodes and Ben Tunnicliff sealed their victory.
On Saturday, Shortwood had won 3-0 at Moreton Rangers thanks to Soule, Chris Earle and Tunnicliff, while Cirencester Town Development lost 8-2 at home to FC Stratford, Joe Rachel and Essa Sabally scoring.
In the Premier Division, Fairford Town lost 3-0 at Corsham Town and they went out of the League’s Floodlit Cup on Wednesday after a 2-1 home loss to Division One side Littleton, Danny Gudger on target for the Reds.
