Massive success Records broken at annual show

-

THE Three Counties annual seasonal celebration, the Malvern Autumn Show, took place at the weekend at the Showground in Malvern.

The jam-packed event was held over three days and is the UK’S largest Harvest Festival offering visitors a full day of gardening and grow your own delights, with celebrity speakers and gardening gurus, unique retail experiences and of course a wide selection of quality regional food and drink.

The show also scored a recordbreaking number of Guinness World Records, with 11 new prize winning giant vegetables awarded the ultimate accolade.

This record breaks all previous Malvern Autumn Show tallies and is double the number of new Guinness World Records set at the 2021 show.

Entrants come from across the UK to take part and spend months preparing their entries in classes ranging from heaviest watermelon to longest chili. There are thirty three classes in total and whilst pumpkins are arguably the largest in size, the huge vegetables include Khol Rabi, cantaloupe melons, squash and so much more.

Jane Edwards, Head of Shows commented: “We are absolutely thrilled that the efforts of our world record breaking growers has resulted in the largest number of new Guinness World

Record titles ever achieved at Malvern Autumn Show. The whole event is run in partnership with CANNA UK and is one of the most popular features at our annual celebration of Autumn.”
