The Parish Council are particularly keen to hear from those with skills or experience in any of the following: Accountancy or other financial background; Working with young people; Project management; Sustainability, nature or green issues; Gardening/allotments; Planning. These skills would fit very well into some of their many working groups. If you are interested in applying, or would like further information, please contact Mrs Joanna Noles, the Clerk, on clerk@ charltonkingsparishcouncil.gov.uk or 01242 250087 or visit the Parish Office in Church Piece.

» Access to the footpaths in Charlton Kings owes a huge amount to the work of the Cotswold Wardens’ organisation, but CKPC is looking to aid their work by collecting names and details of local residents and walkers willing to help, in order to enhance an existing group of footpath ‘Guardians’. The parish council would welcome assistance at a variety of levels. The simplest is merely to share your details with them and feedback any observations of the footpaths you use. Then there will be times when maintenance work is needed on a particular route. Our link Cotswold Guardian would make contact with listed volunteers to get that work done, usually as part of a small working party. They are happy to consider anything from occasional input to a weekly walking and maintenance commitment. If you think you might be interested, please complete and submit the volunteering form on the CKPC website: charltonkingsparishcouncil. gov.uk/volunteers » Rose Ashton 01242 262042 ashton.r@btinternet.com
