Celebrating innovaton and determination

- Hannah BAKER hannah.baker@reachplc.com

WEST Country television presenter Alex Lovell will be hosting the Gloucestershirelive Business Awards next month, it has been announced.

Ms Lovell, who has worked on BBC Points West since 2005, will be speaking at the annual awards on October 13 at Cheltenham Racecourse.

For nearly quarter of a century the Gloucestershirelive Business Awards, which is run in association with Businesslive, has been recognising the county’s best and brightest businesses, bringing together senior leaders from wide-ranging industries, including tech, engineering, property, finance and media.

Over the past year, companies from across Gloucestershire have worked hard to overcome the challenges of the pandemic and to begin to focus on recovery and growth.

Despite difficult economic conditions, many firms have been quick to adapt and innovate, and as a result are flourishing. It’s these efforts Gloucestershirelive and Businesslive will be celebrating on the night.

The evening will be a chance to network with top businesses from around Gloucestershire, and will include a three-course dinner, entertainment and the awards presentation.

Gloucestershirelive Business Editor Hannah Baker, who will be attending the event, said: “The awards are a fantastic opportunity for Gloucestershire’s businesses to come together and celebrate their achievements.

“I am very much looking forward to meeting attendees, finalists and winners at this year’s event.

“Congratulations to all the businesses who made the final shortlist, and thanks to all our sponsors who make the event possible each year.”

This year’s returning headline sponsor is Cheltenham accountancy firm Randall & Payne, which is giving its support to the awards for the tenth time. The awards’ charity partner for 2022 is the Hollie Gazzard Trust , which was set up following the murder of 20-year-old Hollie Gazzard in 2014 by her ex-partner.

The charity was founded by her parents, Nick and Mandy, along with sister Chloe, and works to reduce domestic violence by delivering programmes on domestic abuse and promoting healthy relationships to schools and colleges.

It runs workshops, including intervention workshops, and events throughout the year. We will be fundraising for the charity on the night of the awards dinner.

Tickets for the Gloucestershirelive Business Awards are on sale until today, October 6.

Tickets cost £80 or £720 for a table of 10 (plus vat). For more information or to buy tickets, visit the events website at glosbusinessawards.co.uk »
