Nuclear power is not an option for future

-

‘RENEWABLE energy’ is what we need, of course.

What is it? Solar power, wave power, wind power – and nuclear..?

We are increasingly seeing all these mentioned together as ‘renewable’ sources of power.

What are the ‘downsides’ of solar, wave and wind energy? I know the wind doesn’t blow all the time, but I can’t think of any dangerous consequences of these sources of energy.

Any problems around nuclear energy? The enormous cost of ‘safely’ storing the nuclear waste for thousands of years is one. We are spending billions on storing what we’ve got now.

An accident, or deliberate action, could release enough radioactive waste to contaminate huge areas of the country.

The cost, in monetary terms and the wellbeing of humanity and the planet, is too high.
