-

QUEDGELEY Wanderers secured their first County League win of the season - and ended Cheltenham Civil Service’s 100 per cent record - with a 2-1 win at Waterwells.

Ollie Curtis put Quedgeley in front, rounding Jacob Iley to score, before Service equalised on 47 minutes through Chisom Obi only for Curtis to score the winner a few minutes later following an error by Iley.

At the top of the table, three sides have 13 points, with Cribbs Reserves, Gala Wilton and Broadwell Amateurs locked together.

Broadwell had to settle for a 2-2 draw against Little Stoke at the Hawthorns.

The Forest side led when Dan Brain delivered a perfect free kick to the far post for Taylor Blaby to head home, but Jordan Yeo equalised.

Brain restored the lead, but Broadwell lost top spot when a free kick was deflected in for the equaliser.

Gala Wilton kept up with the pace with a 2-1 win over Henbury, Alex Gayner scoring twice.

Frampton United seured a fine 4-1 win at Sharpness, going in front on three minutes when Espada delivered a free kick to Dom Brown at the back post for 1-0.

On 28 minutes, Sharks’ Tom Frankham was fouled by Espada and Tom Freeman slotted away the penalty, but Frampton led again when Jono Willetts latched on to a ball over the top and lifted it over Taylor.

Five minutes into the second half it was 3-1 through Harvey Cowley and Fin Blythe’s free kick wrapped up the win.

Hardwicke were edged out 1-0 at Wick, Owen Riddler the scorer, while Ruardean Hill Rangers won 3-2 at Patchway Town.

On 23 minutes, Ellis Waugh put Ruardean in front but Patchway levelled three minutes later when a run down the right by Jeanclaude Berlouis saw his cross turned into his own net by Charlie Taylor.

Ruardean took the lead when a corner was turned in by Bobby Walding but Patchway levelled again through Jamie Moore, but Waugh’s second goal saw the Forest side take the points.
