Skipper Hill’s winner sees Tewkesbury take top spot from Tigers

A LATE winner from skipper Nick Hill gave Tewkesbury Town a 1-0 victory in their Northern Senior League Division Two top-of-the-table clash with Tredworth Tigers.

Hill’s goal maintains Tewkesbury’s 100 per cent start to the season and sends them top on goal difference ahead of Tigers, who suffered their first defeat.

Cheltenham Civil Service Reserves are two points behind in third after Oliver Sheahan, Ryan Williams and Jamie Moore scored in their 3-0 win over Broadwell Amateurs Reserves.

Bibury sit fourth after beating King’s Stanley 4-1 thanks to Jacob Ashley, Alex Harding (two) and Max Lukaweckyj, Dalton Hoskins netting for Stanley.

Ciprian Brinca netted twice as Falcons won for the first time this season, 3-0 at Mushet & Coalway, Yorro Jallow also scoring.

Liam Pinnock scored twice as Barnwood United beat Harrow Hill 6-2, Joe Braisby, Harry Leftwich, Daniel Rosenburg and Joey Collins the other scorers.

Liam James and Toby Summers gave Staunton & Corse a 2-1 win at Frampton United Reserves, for whom Zak Tyres replied.

Goals from Kieran Fabiani (two), Kane Sansom and James Turley saw Viney St Swithins to a 4-2 win over Leonard Stanley, who scored through Tom Coultas and Matthew Fanstone.

It is all change again at the top of Division One, where four points cover the top nine sides.

Dursley Town top the pile, Archie Mears, Aaron Nash and Karl Nash scoring in their 3-2 win over Charlton Rovers, for whom Tom Hannah and Dan Ledger replied.

They lead on goal difference from Charfield and Lydney Town Reserves, Ed Hawkins (two) Kerien Austin and Charlie Read helping Charfield past English Bicknor 4-2, Jamie Payne and Kalum Wildig replying.

Lydney were 1-0 winners at neighbours Woolaston thanks to Derry Palama’s goal.

Chalford are in a group of three sides two points back after Nathan Buckland’s brace beat former leaders Berkeley Town, who now sit sixth.

Longlevens Reserves are fifth after their 0-0 draw with Brockworth Albion.

Bicknor are seventh and FC Lakeside eighth, three points off the top, Oliver Horne’s hat-trick giving Lakeside a 3-0 win at Cheltenham Athletic.

Ryan Sims was another hat-trick man as Stonehouse Town Reserves beat Bredon 6-0, Rene Nistor (two) and Dean Neale getting the others, while Callum Debonis and Jai Maisey netted as Smiths Barometric­s won 2-0 at Abbeymead Rovers.
