Fairford beaten while Saracens win on the road

FAIRFORD Town suffered a 1-0 Hellenic League Premier Division defeat to Shrivenham at Cinder Lane in a game of three red cards.

Zac Skinner scored the only goal early in the second half but Fairford ended with nine men after Jake Humphrey and Luke Jones were sent off, while Nathan Blackford saw red for the visitors.

In Division One, goals from John Evans, Paul Holmes and Edd Major gave Cheltenham Saracens a 3-2 win at Southam United.

Bourton Rovers went down 4-0 at home to Clanfield 85, and Cirenceste­r Town Developmen­t stay bottom after losing 7-2 at home to Abingdon United, jake Allen and Oliver Stevenson scoring their goals.

In the Hellenic League’s Floodlit Cup on Tuesday night, Moreton Rangers were beaten 4-1 at Pershore Town.

Petar Tonchev and Kirk Layton put The Plums 2-0 up before Moreton pulled one back before half-time.

Sam Clark’s header and William Beach’s goal saw the hosts through.
