Not everyone against housing development

✒ I WAS struck by the downbeat tone of the headline on the first page of the Echo of 13 October: ‘Shock as plan for 250 homes is approved. Fears for future applications.’

Must the Echo assume that all its readers are dismayed by the prospect of 250 families being able to move into new homes in Cheltenham?

Surely some readers welcome it, living as we do in an age of chronic artificial housing shortage and a declining level of home-ownership.
