Service crash to heavy home loss to leaders Gala

CHELTENHAM Civil Service suffered a 5-0 home defeat at the hands of Gala Wilton, who now top the County League.

Gala came flying out of the traps with three goals in the opening 20 minutes, for Connor Walters, Alex Gayner and Walters again.

Dan Parry fired in the fourth and Ben Sluman completed the scoring.

Former leaders Cribbs Reserves came unstuck at Hardwicke, losing 2-1.

Hardwicke deservedly took the lead on the hour when Jordan Dowdeswell coolly slotted home.

Five minutes on it was 2-0 when Harry Furniss tapped in and Hardwicke held on despite Liam Clayton’s late penalty.

Broadwell Amateurs stay in touch at the top despite a second consecutiv­e draw, 1-1 at Henbury.

Ross Jones opened the scoring for Henbury on the hour but Broadwell pushed hard for an equaliser and were rewarded with 10 minutes to go when Liam Thomas broke through to fire home.

Sharpness drew 2-2 at Rockleaze, hitting back from 2-0 down after Jordan Dent’s double.

Will Lacey pulled one back, and they sealed a point with Will Tainton’s equaliser.

Quedgeley Wanderers moved off the bottom with a useful point at Ruardean Hill Rangers.

Rangers led through Shaun Tingle and Quedgeley equalised through Christian Cooke.

Frampton United crashed to a 4-1 loss at Little Stoke, going four down by half-time to Yeo’s penalty, Hardiman, Williams and Hill.

Frampton pulled one back when Manolo Espada converted from the spot following a handball.
