Harry’s hat-trick seals Reg Davis Cup treble triumph for Chalford

» RYAN Harry scored a hat-trick as Chalford won the Northern Senior League’s Reg Davis Cup for the third year in a row, beating Dursley Town 3-2 at Slimbridge’s Thornhill Park.

Aaron Nash’s penalty put Dursley ahead, but two goals from Harry saw Chalford lead the break.

A Luke Barstow own goal looked set to take the game to extra time before Harry let fly from nearly 30 yards to spark celebratio­ns for Ben Powell’s side.

The cup finalists sit top and third in Division One after wins at the weekend, Dursley beating Lydney Town Reserves 1-0 thanks to Aaron Nash’s goal and Chalford winning 4-0 at English Bicknor, Jack Hughes (two), Nat Buckland and Luke Brunsdon on target.

Charfield sit in between them, level on points with Dursley, after Jake Hawkins, Ben Hemmings and Will Parry gave them a 3-2 win at Charlton Rovers, who replied through Dan Ledger and Jack Williams.

Longlevens Reserves are fourth after goals from Jack Bonser, Matt Emmett and Luke Kavanagh gave them a 3-1 win at FC Lakeside, Curtis Bennett replying.

Berkeley Town drew 2-2 with Cheltenham Athletic, for whom Victor Okeke and Jake Berry scored, and it was the same score between Smiths Barometric­s and Bredon.

Former Cheltenham Town goalkeeper Louie Barnfather got both Smiths goals, Bredon netting through Matt and Sam Byde.

Ash Bird and James Thomas gave Brockworth Albion a 2-1 win over Abbeymead Rovers, Gareth Davies replying, and Woolaston beat Stonehouse Town Reserves 3-1 , Jack Prince netting twice.

Elliott Greening got the other goal, Josh Butler netting for the Magpies.

Tewkesbury Town and Tredworth Tigers have a five-point lead in Division Two as Shea Danter, Nathan Newland-gallaway, Kain Goodall, Elliott Bloom, Mackenzie Wilson and Antanas Brazdys scored in Town’s 6-0 win over Frampton United Reserves.

Liam Gale, Dave Rich and Lee Smith edged Tigers past Bibury 3-2, Max Lukaweckyj getting both for Bibury.

Cheltenham Civil Service Reserves, in third, lost 2-1 to fourthplac­ed Staunton & Corse, for whom Toby Summers netted both, Jamie Moore replying.

Ben Wilkins scored to give Viney St Swithins a 1-1 draw at Chesterton, goals for Rich Gamble and Sam Powell saw Falcons to a 2-0 win over Mushet & Coalway, while Harrow Hill beat Broadwell Amateurs Reserves 1-0 thanks to Ben Carruthers’ goal and Joe Braisby’s winner saw Barnwood United to a 1-0 win over Leonard Stanley.
