AUDI’S GOING OTT

If you’d told me back in 1998 when the Audi TT was launched that one day there’d be one on sale for £87,650 I’d have laughed. But that’s what Audi will ask you to hand over for one of its 11 TT RS Coupe Iconic Editions that will be making their way to the UK.

Only 100 are being built for the whole world so it’s going to be a rare car.

It’s surprising that Audi can get the RS model’s fivecylinder engine through emissions regulations, but I’m glad they can because it’s a belter of an engine. With a power output of 400PS it turns the TT into a proper high-performance sports car.

Iconic Edition cars feature bespoke paint schemes and a numbered badge on the gear selector.
