Braverman is just the person to tighten rules

-

WHEN will opposition MPS ever give up on trying to undermine the authority of elected government through personal attacks?

The latest attempt to hound Suella Braverman is just another example of their pathetic efforts.

Ms Braverman has expressed her great regret and apologised profusely for inadvertently breaking the ministerial code of using her private mobile phone to send official texts.

Let he or she who has never made a mistake cast the first stone!

I think the real opposition to her is the fact that she is of the mind-set to do something positive about our illegal immigrant situation and not pussyfoot around, like so many others who have faced the same problem.

We as a nation are being hoisted by our own petard in so far as Mr Blair’s Human Rights Act is open to their own interpretation by the courts and those hard-up legal aid lawyers who, quite legally for the moment, take advantage to line their pockets at our collective expense. Enough is enough and we need to tighten the rules for the sake of our collective sanity, and Ms Braverman seems the one to do it.

No wonder her appointment is so feared by those who have such a vested interest in keeping the gravy train rolling. She needs backing, not back-stabbing, to see this through. The £5million a day it is costing the taxpayers of this country would be better spent on helping the less fortunate and homeless of this country or helping genuine refugees who are being pushed to the back of the queue because they cannot afford to grease the palms of the people smugglers.

In the meantime, the cost of keeping these illegals should come out of the bloated foreign aid budget, and not out of our current account, as it is at present.
