Award-winning restaurant looks for second location

-

A Fine-dining Indian-inspired restaurant in Cheltenham, has announced plans to open a second location.

The award-winning Prithvi in Bath Road is searching for a new spot in the Cotswolds to share its unique culinary experiences, which have earned it a place in the Michelin guide.

Since its launch in February 2012, Prithvi has been a favourite spot for foodies in Gloucestershire.

The restaurant, known for its modern Indian cuisine and excellent service, is led by Thomas Law, a head chef trained in two-michelin-star kitchens in New York, Australia, and the UK.

Now, owner Jay Rahman is keen to expand the brand further.

He’s looking for potential locations, including spaces within existing hospitality properties interested in collaborating with the brand.

Jay said: “We’re really excited to start exploring locations for a second Prithvi somewhere in the Cotswolds, so if there are any suitable businesses in the area that would be keen to talk to us about a potential collaboration, I would love to engage with them.

“Of course, I’m very open to hearing from other businesses as far afield as London that we could potentially partner with, too.”

Prithvi, a restaurant known for its blend of Asian and European dishes, gets its name from the Sanskrit word for ‘mother earth’, highlighting its Indian roots.

The popular eatery often has a two-month wait for weekend bookings, thanks to its modern take on Indian cuisine.

Head chef Thomas Law and his team use only top-quality British ingredients in their dishes, offering a la carte, five-course and sevencourse tasting menus.

The restaurant also boasts an acclaimed sommelier who pairs the perfect wine with each dish.

Jay added: “We’re proud of the success Prithvi has had to this point and are now in a position to extend that further with a new establishment.

“We love creating spaces that allow our guests to share their most cherished moments, whether celebrating love, friendship, or success, and a second location will enable us to double that!”

Prithvi has an average five-star rating on Tripadvisor, with fans praising the food, the stylish interior and service.
