Rock star legends ‘visit’ art gallery

-

MUSIC enthusiasts can see their favourite icons come to life at the Rockstar (Wannabe) art exhibition in Cheltenham.

Music legends will be featured at this interactive exhibition where visitors can view the realistic, life-sized artworks and click an interactive QR code to watch time-lapsed videos of the creative process.

“I initially started sketching my favourite musicians to help pay for our dream wedding. Since then, I’ve continued this passion project and love seeing my favourite icons come to life via pencil sketches,” said Leo Saunders a.k.a. ‘Leo Live,’ the self-confessed Rockstar Wannabe artist and founder of Tuneriver.com.

“I literally drew inspiration from brilliant iconic photographers who have captured these legends in such a magical way.”

Leo Live is an artist, singer-songwriter, and entertainer who started out on the Camden indie circuit in the 90s with bands Lemonade Hand Grenade and Glycerine. He has served in Gloucestershire as the front man in local bands The Holy Sinners, Over The Hill, Johnny Clash, and the Livewires.

He is passionate about supporting other musicians and set up the personalised song-gifting company Tuneriver. com in 2018 which helps musicians with an income stream alongside their career.

The musician comes alive on stage, and has entertained audiences across the UK whether performing in a band or as a solo artist. Leo’s chandelierswinging and table dancing antics are known to get audiences on their feet, singing along into the night.

Martyn Harvey, owner of one of Leo’s paintings said “Seeing one of the world’s greatest guitarists ‘hanging out’ in our sitting room brings my wife and me so much joy. It really feels like Keith Richards is saying hello every time we see the drawing. The art has been a focal point in our home and is a great conversation starter when guests visit. It feels good to know we’ve invested in a local artist and have an original drawing that we love.”

The art will be available for viewing at The Sixteen Gallery, Montpellier, March 7-13. Opening times: 10am6pm.

To register interest for the exclusive private viewing party on Saturday March 9, where Leo Live will be performing live music from the icons in the gallery, the public can email: hello@sixteenonline.com
