Security company is bought by rival for an undisclosed sum

-

A GLOUCESTERSHIRE security company has been acquired by a London rival which was involved in King Charles’ coronation last year.

Glevum Security, which is based in Quedgeley, has been taken over by TMA Security Services for an undisclosed sum.

Founded in 2019 by Mark Telford, TMA Security provides consultancy, training, and guarding services - and supplied more than 500 professionals for Queen Elizabeth’s funeral in 2022 and King Charles III’S coronation.

This is the company’s first acquisition.

TMA said the addition of Glevum would allow a “substantial expansion” of its service area and client base, along with the ability to provide extra services.

Glevum currently operates across Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Wiltshire, Somerset, Bristol and Avon.

Mr Telford, a former Royal Marine, said: “We are pleased that Glevum Security has joined TMA at this pivotal time of growth in our business.

“Glevum shares TMA’S core beliefs of responsibility and keeping people safe through the latest developments in security and the team has invaluable knowledge in improving and developing new security products.”

Mr Telford has more than 25 years of experience in the security industry, working for private companies globally as well as in operations for Reuters, HSBC, Sotheby’s, Battersea Power Station and G4.

Mark Baker and Steve Barnett, directors of Glevum Security, said: “Glevum Security is delighted to be joining TMA.

“The team there are as passionate about delivering effective security solutions as we are, and we are looking forward to working together to expand our services and keep more people and properties safe and secure.”

Business advisory firm GS Verde Group advised TMA Security on the deal.
