Dudding and Timbrell seal place in cup final

CIRENCESTE­R Town will face Bitton Developmen­t in the final of the County Women’s League’s Gordon Perrett League Cup.

Doubles from Amelia Dudding and Eve Timbrell gave Cirenceste­r a 4-1 win at Dursley Town, who replied though Lucy Jones, while Bitton were 5-1 winners over Whitchurch.

Leah Rhodes hit a hat-trick as Cheltenham Saracens won 4-3 at Bristol & West in County Women’s League Division One, Sophie Sharpe with their other goal.

Cheltenham Civil Service scored through Katie Ashmead, Jessica Brown, Gemma Riley and Bethany Sullivan as they beat Longwell Green 4-0.

Longlevens have a two-point lead at the top of Division Two with two games in hand on second-placed Gloucester City Developmen­t.

Goals from Hannah Bingham (two), Bethany Hicks, Ashleigh Lloyd and Olivia Kosylowicz saw them past Bristol Ladies Union 5-1

Bottom two sides Abbeymead Rovers and Cheltenham Town Developmen­t both conceded seven goals, Cheltenham losing 7-0 to Red Falcon and Abbeymead 7-1 at Stoke Lane Athletic.

In Division Three, second-placed City of Gloucester crushed bottom side Ashton Keynes 17-1, and are level with leaders Bitton Developmen­t, but have played two more games.

Ellwood are fourth after a double from Tia Watts helped them to a 3-0 win at Kingswood, Sarah Ann Smith with the other goal, and Gemma Jenkins’ hat-trick gave Lydney Town a 3-0 win over University Of Bristol.

Forest Green Rovers went out of the South West Women’s League’s Premier Division Cup in the semi-finals, losing 4-0 to Bristol Rovers.
