Hard to justify
At a time when slow play is a real concern, how can the USGA justify making par-3 holes 300 yards long? I understand that next year there will be a par 5s in excess of 700 yards.
It appears to me that when there is a drive to speed up the game, the golfing authorities seem to be trying to put more obstacles in the way. I think the associations need a rethink. David Ward, Halifax
