Shoes for summer

Golf Monthly - - Your View -

Golf shoe design takes a big step forward every year, and golfers really are spoilt for choice. The perfect pair for summer doesn’t necessarily mean spikeless. While they tend to provide more comfort and off-course versatility than spiked shoes, the distance between the traction, mobility and comfort provided by these two categories is narrowing.

That said, the extra overall performance from a cleated shoe is useful all year round, and they are getting more comfortable all the time.

Many golfers have a pair of each worn in rotation, or depending on the weather. At this time of year, bright colours seem most appropriate and these offerings from FootJoy, Puma, Skechers, Ecco and Adidas fit the bill perfectly if you are looking to lace up a new pair of shoes.
