FITTER ANALYSIS Andy’s steel shafts didn’t really suit his 75mph 7-iron swing speed. Using our graphite shafts in the XPG irons, he was able to square the clubface much more frequently. His clubhead speed was not only faster (giving him 13 yards of additional carry distance) but there was only one mph difference between his fastest and slowest swing speeds, so his dispersion front and back was much tighter.

It was an absolute eye-opener for someone who has always purchased clubs online. For me, it’s not all about distance, but 13 yards more with a 7-iron is great, and my dispersion was more compact too. I’d never even considered graphite shafts, but experiencing what they did for a regular golfer was amazing.
