A class act

It was great to see Padraig Harrington win again at the Portugal Masters. The Irishman has always been one of my favourite golfers and I hope he can one day become a successful European Ryder Cup captain. After winning his Majors, he could have been forgiven for taking his foot off the gas. However, to win a prestigious European Tour event at the age of 45 shows you how hard he must be working behind the scenes.

He’s a class act on and off the course and should be considered one of golf’s great role models. I must add he’s a great person to follow on social media as well! Could he make the 2018 Ryder Cup team he’s been linked with captaining? I wouldn’t rule it out. Steve Manley, Glamorgan
