LUNAR CONTROL VAPOR SHOES
KEY TECH AIMED AT New outsole increases ground contact for continuous grip Sporty golfers seeking a versatile shoe HOW MUCH £120
After it recently revealed it was going to stop making golf clubs, Nike heightened the attention placed on its future golf launches. Its first foray since then, the Lunar Control Vapor, has undoubtedly set the bar high.
This futuristic spikeless shoe has what Nike is calling an 'Articulated Integrated Traction outsole' – a tread pattern that was inspired by snowmobile tracks.
It’s a design where a series of protruding tooth-like tracks increase points of contact with the ground, allowing the shoe to continuously grip the turf as your weight shifts.
Channels between these structures then aid better balance by keeping you lower to the ground. It means you should find greater traction on slopes and loose surfaces. Plus, because there are no cleats, there was more room for extra foam underfoot to improve the cushioning.
Aside from the new traction system, you’ll find a full-length Lunarlon midsole and Nike Flywire which help keep your feet stable and cushioned, plus a lightweight microfibre upper with a two-year waterproof guarantee.
They will be available in men’s and women’s sizes with an RRP of £120.
