PLAYING FOR FUN

There is no such thing as playing golf “just for fun”. We might like to think that our enjoyment is not inextricably linked to how well we play, but there is nothing like a bout of the shanks to test this theory. The facts, whether you like it or not, are as follows: winning feels good and registering less than 20 points in a Stableford hurts. Badly.
