Avoid the 50-yard

-

The temptation here might be to thread it through the narrow gap between the bunkers to get it up there as far as possible. My advice? If you can’t reach the green, don’t take it on!

Many consider the 50-yard bunker shot golf’s toughest because you’ve got to take just the right amount of sand. It’s easy to catch it heavy or thin, so it’s a shot best avoided at all costs.

 ?? ?? Caution:
From my experience as a coach, I tend to find that most club golfers hit 60- to 70-yard pitches better than they do 30-yard ones – another good reason to consider laying up.
