Yonex’s new Ezone Elite 3.0 series of golf clubs for 2021 is designed to offer superior distance and forgiveness for male and female mid- to highhandicap golfers.

The new range includes a driver, fairway wood, hybrid, irons and a putter, all of which have been created with optimal shaft weight, kick point and torque to provide maximum forgiveness, distance and feel.

The new Ezone Elite 3.0 driver uses In-core Groove technology, which is designed to improve the flex of the face, crown and sole of the golf club, creating faster ball speeds across the face with lower spin rates.

Updated Octoforce technology in the driver removes weight from the crown and upper part of the face, lowering the centre of gravity to promote a high, forgiving launch and maximum carry distance.

Vertical Polish on the driver face allows the golf ball to slide upwards at impact. This is said to reduce the amount of sidespin created compared with a ‘traditional’ horizontally polished or milled clubface, where the spin axis becomes tilted more easily.

The Ezone Elite 3.0 fairway woods and hybrids feature the same In-core and Octoforce technology as the driver. In addition, they boast a diagonal groove design to optimise ball flight for each club and increase accuracy.

The Ezone Elite 3.0 irons also feature In-core and Octoforce technology, as well as a double undercut cavity, which helps shift the weight further back from the face. This lowers the centre of gravity to promote a higher ball flight.

The new putter in the Ezone Elite 3.0 series has been designed in a traditional mallet shape to provide more forgiveness. It also has a Cnc-milled face to produce a smooth roll on putts of all distances.

An EX-E03 shaft has been designed specifically for the series, weighing just 55g in regular flex. This is manufactured using layers of Yonex’s super-premium graphite, which promotes faster transitions for increased clubhead speed and repeatability during the swing and at impact.

Compared with its predecessor, the EX-E03 has a softer tip to increase clubhead speed and boost launch for the mid- to high-handicap golfer.

The Yonex Ezone Elite 3.0 range is available now with the following RRPS: driver: £239; fairway: £179; hybrid: £149; irons: £639 graphite, £489 steel (seven-piece set); putter: £99.
